Your CEO just asked about AI security.  Do you have a clear answer?
While you’re counting vulnerabilities, your competitors are deploying AI at scale.
While security teams are still cataloging vulnerabilities, business units are deploying AI at scale. Marketing is using generative AI for campaigns. Sales is rolling out AI SDRs. Customer service is automating with chatbots.

AI isn’t slowing down. It’s writing code. Agents are showing up in tools your team never approved. Whatever hesitation exists in the boardroom about cost or risk, the train keeps moving—fast, and often in directions nobody sees until they’ve already arrived. The question isn’t whether AI keeps accelerating. It’s what we do while it does.
This opening keynote brings security leaders together for a candid, unscripted conversation about the tensions nobody has fully resolved: Can you argue some jobs shouldn’t be replaced by AI and still stay competitive? What guardrails do we actually need when adoption outpaces governance? How do you enable AI agents—web-based, local, or buried in third-party tools—without losing visibility into your own data? No hype, no vendor spin—just an honest look at a moment of real uncertainty, and the kind of peer conversation that sends everyone home with more clarity than they came in with.

Cybersecurity leaders are under constant pressure to strengthen defenses while simultaneously preparing for AI, evolving regulatory expectations, and increasingly sophisticated cyber threats. Yet the organizations that consistently perform well during audits, ransomware events, and customer due diligence tend to share one thing: they execute the fundamentals exceptionally well.

Drawing on more than 30 years in technology and cybersecurity across financial services, SaaS, incident response, ransomware preparedness, and AI governance, this session unpacks how organizations can build a security program that is both resilient and audit-ready.

Attendees will learn practical approaches to strengthening foundational controls, including incident response strategy, asset management (EoL and EoS), and the role of an enterprise risk committee. The session also covers core fundamentals like EDR, MFA, and security awareness alongside emerging challenges such as Shadow AI and enterprise AI governance, plus ransomware preparedness lessons drawn from large-scale financial institutions that organizations of any size can apply.

Whether you’re building a cybersecurity program, preparing for your next audit, or developing an AI governance strategy, this session delivers pragmatic guidance and proven practices attendees can put to use immediately.

    10:15 am - 10:50 am

AI is revolutionizing cybersecurity at all levels, speeding up detection and enabling automated attacks on an unprecedented scale. This session examines AI’s dual role as both a powerful defensive tool and a new threat vector for attackers. Panelists will discuss how AI copilots enhance analyst workflows, triage, and anomaly detection, while also addressing emerging risks such as LLM data leakage, prompt injection, model poisoning, and hallucinations within high-trust SOC processes.

The discussion will cover AI governance and assurance frameworks, evolving regulatory expectations, and the impact of synthetic content—including deepfakes, audio spoofing, and hyper-personalized phishing—on social engineering defenses. Attendees will leave with a solid understanding of AI’s potential, the safety measures needed for responsible deployment, and practical steps for preparing teams and pipelines for an AI-driven threat environment.

AI agents are shrinking attacker timelines, forcing defenders to automate more of the security operations center. But not every decision should be made by a machine.

This talk introduces a simple rule: autonomy should scale with reversibility. Automate decisions that are cheap to undo, such as alert triage, evidence collection, and endpoint isolation. Keep humans responsible for the irreversible ones: incident severity, production impact, customer communications, and regulatory disclosure.

Attendees will leave with a practical framework for deciding where AI belongs in their SOC today, and where it doesn’t.

    11:10 am - 11:45 am

Most organizations likely have an AI policy on paper, maybe even some standards and procedures. But less clear how many have found a way to implement all these rules in their environment. How do you have the visibility into what actually happens in your business units, and how do you know when they will deploy a new model or a vendor tool quietly adds an AI feature?

This session examines what it takes to move AI governance from static documents to an operational discipline—covering how to build approval workflows that don’t bottleneck the business, assign clear ownership across the various functional teams, and monitor AI systems once they’re live rather than only at intake. The session will also address a common AI governance control, reliance on a “human in the loop” as a way to protect against AI mishaps, including why this control often provides less protection than organizations assume and how to bolster it.

Attendees will leave with a practical set of recommendations for creating actionable AI governance, including reliable human oversight controls.

    11:10 am - 11:45 am

As organizational footprints expand across cloud, SaaS, OT/IoT, and dispersed workforces, defenders face a more complex and interconnected digital battlefield. This panel brings together experts to explore how today’s threat actors combine automation, social engineering, identity breaches, and software supply-chain attacks into highly coordinated assaults.

Panelists will examine the expanding importance of identity in the modern SOC, the emergence of AI-driven threats such as automated reconnaissance and deepfake-assisted breaches, and how fourth-party dependencies are changing risk visibility. The discussion also connects these trends to organizational resilience—showing how teams can improve detection, response, and business continuity across an evolving attack surface. This comprehensive session provides practical insights for any security leader seeking clarity amid converging threats.

Path Erasure: A Reliability Engineering Approach to Attack Paths

    1:15 pm - 1:50 pm

Most security programs respond to a discovered attack path the way no aerospace engineer would respond to a cracked fuel line: with better monitoring instead of structural elimination. This session applies reliability engineering’s core discipline—identify, eliminate, constrain, monitor, in that order—to enterprise attack paths, reframing lateral movement, privilege escalation, and persistence not as adversarial mysteries but as predictable system failure modes that exist because a structural capability was left in place.

Drawing on the newly published OWASP Subtractive Security Top 10 and its Path Erasure Rate metric, this talk walks through a practical hierarchy for prioritizing architectural deletion over detection: which pathways to remove outright, which to constrain when removal isn’t feasible, and where monitoring genuinely belongs as a last resort. Attendees will leave with a framework for evaluating their own environments by how much attacker terrain has been structurally removed—not by how many alerts their tools generated last quarter.

    2:10 pm - 2:45 pm

People have always been the most targeted layer in any organization’s security posture—but AI is rewriting the rules of engagement. Sophisticated phishing campaigns now arrive personalized at scale, deepfake audio and video are eroding the credibility of internal communications, and MFA fatigue attacks are turning security controls against the users they were designed to protect. The threat surface hasn’t changed, but the speed, precision, and plausibility of attacks targeting it have.

At the same time, defenders are gaining new tools. Behavioral analytics and UEBA platforms are surfacing anomalies that static rules would miss, and AI-assisted policy frameworks are helping organizations govern workforce behavior—including how employees interact with AI tools themselves—without sacrificing productivity. This panel brings together practitioners navigating insider risk, identity-based threats, and the governance questions that arise when the line between human error and AI-augmented deception becomes increasingly hard to draw.
