Christina MorilloCISO, New York GiantsChristina is a cybersecurity and technology leader who combines strategic vision with hands-on operational execution, with a track record of building and maturing security programs in highly targeted environments, at scale. She builds (or rebuilds) from the ground up in environments where expectations are high, and clarity isn’t always available.
Most recently, she built the New York Football Giants’ first dedicated security function from scratch, stepping in as the sole internal security leader and de facto CISO. She didn’t inherit a team or a roadmap, so she built both. That meant standing up core capabilities across identity, detection and response, governance, and incident response while helping the organization move from reactive to proactive in a way that didn’t disrupt how the business operates. Today, she leads day-to-day information security and cyber operations for the organization, as its only internal executive dedicated to that mandate.
Her focus has always been simple: to make security real, practical, and positioned to address, contain, and drive resolution. Not just compliant. Not just theoretical. Something that holds up under pressure.
Before the Giants, she spent nearly four years at Microsoft leading cloud identity and information protection initiatives, and earlier in her career held roles at Morgan Stanley and Fitch Ratings. That mix gave her a strong foundation in both regulated environments and large-scale enterprise systems.
She is an O’Reilly-published author (Zero Trust Networks, 2nd Edition and 97 Things Every Information Security Professional Should Know), and cares deeply about making security more accessible and easier to understand for the people who actually have to live with it.
