Katie Cipkala is a Virginia Tech graduate with 20 years as a utility player in S&P 500 and Fortune 500 companies. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). Katie’s IT career has ranged from directing global cybersecurity and infrastructure communications, managing board of directors & executive content, cybersecurity’s chief of staff, IT policy governance, and training. Beginning her career in internal audit, Katie leveraged her CPA, CISA, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) background and forensic accounting experience for a dream job establishing an international fraud & legal compliance investigations team during a Belgian expatriate assignment.
Katie is passionate about volunteering and serves on councils for Project Scientist and Apparo. She is frequently found at the ball fields with her three boys and two dogs.
